History
The main inhabitants of this province are Boyerahmad nomads. Its name is taken from one of its natural beauties, i.e. Giloo mountain and Boyerahmad nomads.
Geography
Kohgiluyeh province is surrounded by Charmahal, Fars, Bushehr, Isfahan and Khuzestan provinces.
It’s located in mountainous highlands. Mount Dena, one of the highest mountains of Iran, is located in this province.

This province has a diverse climate, despite its relatively small size.
