The largest province of Iran, with a large number of natural and historical attractions with high tourism potential.

History

Kerman province has a thousands-year history of human inhibition. Archeological excavations in Jiroft and other areas in this province confirm this fact.

Kerman has been mentioned as Karmania and Govashir in different texts. The area has been ruled by different dynasties throughout history.

Geography

Although Kerman is considered a desert region, it has some high mountains, like Mount Hezar with an altitude of 4400m. Most parts of the famous Lut desert lies within Kerman province.

Kerman province is surrounded by Hormozgan province is the south, Fars and Yazd in the west, Sistan & Baluchistan in the east, and South Khorasan to the north.

Climate

Kerman province has cold winters and hot summers.
