Holy Defence Museum

Holy Defense Garden-Museum in Hamadan is a valuable treasure of 8 years of the holy defense and the imposed war of Iraq against Iran, which began its construction in 1997 with the cooperation of Korean engineers with advanced technology. Holy Defense Garden-Museum in Hamadan has an area of 6.5 hectares that has been designed in 6 phases. This complex, which is located in the Abbas Abad district of Hamadan in Qaem Square, at the beginning of Kulab Boulevard, was opened in 2010. The garden museum helped a lot in conveying valuable Islamic and revolutionary concepts to the younger generation. The outer area of the Holy Defense Museum is designed with statues of warlords, statues of freedom and mother, military equipment such as tanks and rockets. In order to increase the green space for families and visitors to rest in one part of the complex, an artificial lake and holy defense park are being constructed. Although Hamadan was not directly involved in the imposed war between Iran and Iraq, it played a supportive role in many operations. The interior part of the Holy Defense Garden-Museum in Hamadan has 4 main halls and 24 booths that show the sending troops, combat operations, the simulation of the alley of Khorramshahr, the commander’s trench and etc. which express an honest narrative of the war and epic creation of the warriors. There is an uprising statue at the final section of the Holy Defense Garden Museum, and the name of 8,000 martyrs is carved on the red tiles that convoy you. Although a number of beautiful cities in Iran were involved in the imposed war and devastating effects have remained since those years.
