- Bushehr
During Nader Shah era, Bushehr was converted from a small fishing village to an important port, after Nader Shah’s Marine base was established here.
Bushehr old town is comprised of 4 neighbourhoods: Behbahani, Deshdashti, Kooti and Shanbadi
It’s located in the center of a triangular peninsula, surrounded by the Persian Gulf waters. It’s 38 acres and contains about a thousand historical houses. The historical apex of this area was during the Qajar era when Bushehr was considered as a gateway for foreigners entering Iran.
It contains remains of beautiful buildings including foreign consulates, churches, mosques, and bazaars. It also has a sea-front.
