There are a variety of option for skiing near Tehran
:
Dizin :
The most famous ski resort in Iran which is
usually open from Mid. Nov. to Mid Apr. It lies
between altitudes of 2650m and 3600m above sea
level. It’s 71km far from Tehran visa Shemshak road
(often closed in winter) and 123km via Chalus road.
The resort includes three cable cars, two ski lifts,
seven dish teleskies and one hammer teleski.
There are also 2 hotels , 19 cottages and two
restaurants.
Shekshak :
It includes two ski lifts, three dish teleskis
and two Hammer teleskis. The slopes lie at an
altitude of 2550m to 3050m above sea level. The
resort includes two main slopes each with a chair
lift that apex at the top and several lifts. There
are also lighting facilities for night skiing.
Shemshak has classically catered to more advanced
skiers while Dizin has drawn Beginner and
Intermediate Skiers. The slopes are quite steep and
many of the runs are mogul runs.
Shemshak is conveniently situated just about 55
minutes from Tehran.
Tochal :
This resort is very close to the city and is
accessed by a cable-car line from north of Tehran.
There is a nice hotel available to skiers.
There are 4 ski slopes :
1 :Station 7 (peak) - Tochal Hotel, altitude :
3545-3850m, length:1200m.
2 :Station 7 (western foothill) - altitude :
3550-3750m
3 :Station 7 to Station 5 : altitude : 3750-2940m ,
length : 3000m
4 :Station 5 : 2940-2820m , length : 900m
These slopes are all equipped with chairlift and
t-bars lines
