This mausoleum is located outside Kerman in the town
of Mahan.
Shah Nur od-Din Nematollah Vali lived up to hundred
years of age (1331-1431). He was a poet, a sage, a
sufi, and the founder of Nematollahi Sufi order. He
was born in Aleppo (Syria) and spent most of his
life in Iraq. He also lived for seven years in
Mecca. He traveled to Samarqand, Herat, and Yazd. He
spent the last years of his life in Mahan.
The dome over the tomb of the well known Sufi leader
dates back to the early 15th century. The complex is
famous for its tile-works and seven ancient wooden
doors. The ceiling is quite spectacular.
In the courtyard, there is a lake surrounded by
cypress trees.
If you climb to the roof, you can see two minarets
from the Qajar period.
